To Mo Shan
Ta Mo Shan is Hong Kong's highest peak (957 metres), from which we can see the new industrial town of Tsuen Wan to the south and all of the New Territories to the north.
The air is breezely cool in summer time and freezingly cold in winter time. We have been there for several times, but not everytime was lucky enough to see the 360deg unblocked views. It can be very hazy at times.
With public transportation, one can only reach to this level. If they want to go uphill, they got to hike, or taking a taxi, or driving a car by themself.
The main road is only wide enough for 1 car to go up or down at the same time. When the cars heading to the opposite direction meet, one of the drivers have to give ways to the other.
This is Tsing Yi Island. It is joined to Lantau Island by the famous Tsing Ma suspension bridge.
This photo was taken on 19-Sep-2004. William is 9 month-old.
I feel calm and contented everytime I come close to the natural.
The hills over there serve as the border between Hong Kong and ShenZhen city.
The wind was very strong. See how my hairs fly...
William was all so happy when I put him back to the car.
This photo was taken when Chee Wah visited us on last July-2005. Due to his job requirement, he would stop by Hong Kong from time to time.
We sneaked out when William was taking his afternoon nap that day.
That is the highest point of Ta Mo Shan. We will want to reach to the top there one day.
Have to walk carefully to avoid stepping on the cow's dropping.
Flying kite at Ta Mo Shan on 30-Oct-2005
Ta Mo Shan is a great place for flying kite. It's windy most of the time. We simply pulled the string and it would fly up to the sky, without any difficulty. Even Vincent could manage it well.
Hikers or non-hikers, they can reach to this level with no problems.
A beutiful sun set. Something we can't see in normal days when surrounded by high rise buildings.
