Cyberport

26-Mar-2006
Cyberport - Hong Kong’s IT Flagship - is a US $2 billion (HK$15.8 billion) landmark project wholly owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
It comprises four office buildings, a five-star hotel, a retail entertainment complex and a deluxe residential development. The Cyberport is aimed at creating an interactive environment that will be home to a strategic cluster of about 100 IT companies and 10,000 IT professionals.

Cyberport won the internationally acclaimed Intelligent Building of the Year Award 2004 in New York City on 11 June 2004, which is given to commercial buildings that have used broadband and information systems technology.

Cool...this public phone is equiped with a webcam.

Not many people in the arcade, and the place is spacious enough for the kids to run around freely.

This arcade is a very pleasant place to visit because it is not crowded at all like the others. Unfortunately, this is not a good place for normal shopping.

Situated next to The Arcade is Le Meridien Cyberport Hotel - Hong Kong's only Southside hotel.

It would be perfect to munch french fries here . Unfortunately, there is no fast food restaurant around.

A nice ocean view. The outerlying island is Lama Island.

An European style garden outside the Cyberport.

This Sulley is taller than me.

William enjoyed playing this toy set by using his imagination.

This bear is a display item, not for sold. In view of its big size, I think it will cost at least HKD5K.

Every taxpayer has contributed around HKD3K to build the cyberport. Therefore, it's worth to go there once to see where our money has been paid for.

How nice.. Reading this blog is like a going on a virtual visit to HK.

It sure attracts me to fly over there to have a look at it myself. If Airasia flies direct to HK, how nice it would be..

Anyway, good job! Keep it up, the pictures look great too. It's nice to see these cute and happy faces.
