Avenue of Stars

To pay tribute to outstanding professionals of Hong Kong's film industry, to promote tourism industry, and to consolidate Hong Kong's position as Asia's World City, the Avenue of Stars which was given a glittering official opening on 27 April 2004. It was opened to the public and visitors from all over the world from 28 April 2004 onwards.

16 July 2006
Having nothing much to do in that Sunday morning, we drove to the Victoria Harbour for a leisure walk. And for sure we will pass by Avenue of Stars, which is equivalent to Hollywood's Walk of Fame. This place is located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront promenade with a superb harbour backdrop.

A magnificent 4.5-meter-tall replica of the statuette on the famous Hong Kong Film Awards. It was donated by the Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA).

The Hong Kong Bruce Lee Club presents to the city a bronze monument to Bruce Lee.

Along the pavement, there are 73 pcs plaques commemorating Hong Kong movie personalities past and present. This handprints plaque is belong to Jackie Chan.

For unknown reason, the boys choose to touch Brigitte Lin Ching Hsia's plaque. She is really a super attractive women on earth.

Vincent asked me to take his photo with this bear statue. He seldom make such request. Wonder why?

The promenade has one of the greatest views across Victoria Harbour. At night it is a popular viewing place for the Symphony of Lights.

When we want to take photo together with the boys, we have to grab them like this...

or like this...

If we don't grab them, they will run away. And leave us all alone, like this...

Hk Convention & Exhibition Center. Its massive aluminium roof captures the rhythm and delicacy of a seabird's wing. The world's tallest glass wall opens onto fantastic vistas of Hong Kong's famed harbour.

I remember KS brought me to this pink color cruise for a dim-sum lunch when I first came to HK 10 years ago. But he couldn't remember this cruise anymore. Maybe one day we will go there again to recollect his lost memory.

The Victoria Peak

They are natural climber, can't resist the urge to climb high. If we don't stop them, they would have climbed up to the top there.

William stopped me to taking him down, said he want to sit there for a little bit longer.

I gave in, and he was happy.

Actually this is a small stall selling snacks like pop corn, cotton candy etc. Don't know why they were all closed that day?

At one end of the Avenue, it's the Star Ferry Pier. We took the kids for a ride from TST-Wanchai-TST . They were so happy and excited.

The ferry we were on board is exactly look like this one.

One of the high end luxurious condominium in the west kowloon region. The selling price is startling high.

Star Cruises. We have never tried cruise before, want to try that one day.

The famous TST clock tower.

We went home at around 1pm. William were still expecting to go somewhere else for fun. It's always like he never play enough outside there.

The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course

Situated in the northern part of Kau Sai Island, the 158-hectare Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course was developed and is managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. There are two 18-hole golf courses, a club house, a driving range and practice facilities including a golf instruction academy. Scheduled ferry services between the Sai Kung pier and Kau Sai Chau are provided for public visitors.
29 May 2005
There is this evening package offered at HKD98 per head at weekends, inclusive the return ferry ticket, shuttle bus fare, a buffet dinner and golf practice session. Considering the high living standard about everything everywhere over here, I think this package is super worthwhile.
Sai Kung Pier is one of our most visited places in all seasons. It's a nice place for adults and children, even for the pets to lingering around.
Somebody took his iguana pet to enjoy the sun bathe here.

Everytime my mom visited us in HK, Sai Kung we would take her go too.

The kids enjoyed seeing everything they can see here.

Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course is situated somewhere out there. We were waiting for the ferry to take us there.

After a 20 min ferry ride, we reached the Kau Sai Island at around 6.30pm. The shuttle bus were waiting for us there to take us to the club house.

A small children playground.

The one-and-the-only-one restaurant that serve us buffet dinner. Although the food variety is not too many and fancy, it's good enough to fill up our tummy with satisfaction.

While taking our dinner, we enjoyed the splendid view of the greenery golf course.

A beautiful sunset.

After the dinner, it's around 8pm. We played golf at this double-storey practive range. I think it contains 20 lanes at the upper and lower deck respectively.

My mom played gold the 1st time in her life. It's not often to see her laughed out so wholeheartedly.

Too young to play golf? Emm...it's hard to tell. We did enjoy our 1st visitation to the Sai Chau Public Golf Course. It's indeed a very good experience for all of us.

19-May-2006

One fine day, I took CP and her family to go to Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course for fun. This was the first time I took the kids and friends to somewhere considered further away all by myself without KS being around. Although CP and her hubby was there to lend a helping hand, I'm glad I brought the kids home without any injuries. Boy, it was really not an easy task.

The time was still early to go. So, we took the kids to catch small crabs at the rugged beach side. I'm surprised the crabs can be caught so easily. Just flipped the stone over, and caught it with bare hands.

Big and small crabs, maybe they are 1 family huh?

William was so excited and he was looking at the beach all the time for crabs.

Guess who took this picture?

The kids were getting impatient to wait for the arrival of the ferry. To make them quiet down, I bought each of them an ice-cream cone. Although this is not the best way, at least it saved us and gave us 10 min peaceful moment.

The 2nd time Vincent played golf, he looks more familiar with the game now.

I wonder why there aren't any shorter golf bat for children?

Vincent was so determined to make this car move, he care less to the camera than Enoch did.
