Pool Fun

4th Day

We felt a bit tired after the island hopping trip. Therefore, we decided to stay in the hotel on the 4th day.
We woke up late that morning. After taking a long breakfast, we walked around the hotel to explore its facilities and checked on the information for the trip next day.
Around 1pm, the boys wanted to go swimming again though it was sunny hot in the afternoon time. To them, any time is a good time to go swimming. In fact, swimming has become a must-to-do activity for them everyday.

Ever since we checked in the hotel the 1st day, they couldn't wait to go swimming already.

Katathani Hotel got 6 swimming pools, both fresh- and salt-water, and 3 Jacuzzis, just steps away from the guest rooms. The pools that in front of our room are the biggest.

When we went swimming in the pools, we just need to change our swim suits, take the towels and goggles along. We didn't even need to wear slippers. It's very convenient.

Maybe due to slow season, every where in the hotel was not crowded at all. Even at the peak hour, the pools were filled with less than 15 person. Also, we could esasily find couches to put down our stuff at the poolside. Great, isn't it?

For the 1st few days, William like to play in this baby pool where the water level is just up to his waist. Or he clinged on us, like a monkey, when he wanted to go to deeper side. He was still not brave enough to put on the inner tube and play water alone.
Vincent gave us many surprises since Day 1.
Surprise 1 : He was brave enough to jump into the water. Before that, he would only slip down the pools carefully from the side.

He climbed up there, asked for our attention : Look, Look...Then, he just jumped in without any hesitation.

Since the 1st jump, he enjoyed it so much that he kept on jumping contineously for many many times.

I just love to see him jump. He did it so gracefully!

Surprise 2 : He wasn't just jump in the water and came out immediately, but he continue to swim a few strokes until he need to get out to breath. That's really something new to us.
Surprise 3 : He asked me to soak my head into the water, said he want to show me something. When I put on the goggles and look at him in the water, I saw him pushing his body down till his feet touched the bottom of the pools. He can do it in the 2.5m depth side.

When we were hungry, we ordered foods from the poolside restaurant. Sometimes, we ordered banana split, spagetti and pizza. Sometimes, we ordered burger and french fries. Sometimes, we ordered fried rice and fried noddle.

The foods are so-so, but the pleasant environment can make everything taste yummy. It's really great to eat at the pool side, while admiring the beautiful sea in front of us.

Those floating bubble-boat were not ours. They belongs to other people. Somehow, people tend to be nicer to one another, that we all could share many things together.

So, we went swimming every day.

At day 4, William asked me to put an inner tube on him, said he wanted to swim alone. And there he goes...no longer need our assistance. What a leap !!
He really was trying hard to float his body and swim, with his legs were kicking and arms were moving. Very cute...

Maybe he has been influenced by his big brother, later on, he dared to swim alone in the deeper pool by himself.

Vincent by then, was no longer needing our assistance. Basically, he could swim everywhere he want with an inner tube.
We are very happy to see their improvement in dealing with water. At the same time, I wonder if Vincent could have learnt to swim properly, should we stay longer and give him the chance to swim everyday?
