Coffee Language

My boss and I went to South China region on last Thursday to visit some long-time-no-see customers. Our schedule was to visit 2 customers in Dongguan District and 2 customers in Shenzhen District.

At noon time, we stopped over a shopping mall that located just opposite to the 3rd customer's site. Although we were not particular hungry, it's the lunch time for our customer. So, boss said we should take a break first. When boss saw that cafe, immediately he said we should go there. Well, he is the boss. Driver and I just have to follow.

The cafe has a very special name, Coffee Language (名典咖啡语系). It is originated from Taiwan. Boss said this chain restaurant is getting famous in China region these days. OK, I'm interested.

When I first saw the interior design of the cafe, I like the place instantly. Not many customer was there at that time. So, the place is very quiet and peaceful. There is a piano put at the main entrance there. Don't know if it's just for decoration or what? Anyway, the ambience is very good.

The renovation is not luxurious, but very comfortable. Also, the space is spacious enough. Even some high class restaurants in HK can't afford to provide such a spacious place to their customers. I especially like those big, soft fabric couch. It is that kind : once you sit in, you won't want to leave it.

This object is something like a roulette, except the slots inside are not marked with numbers, but statement like : thanks for your treat, what's your wish, etc. Its purpose is pretty clear, right?

The view outside is nothing spectacular.

Funny though..Boss said the coffee here is no good. Seeing the price of every coffee, gee...they are more expensive than the coffee sold in HK Starbucks, i.e. minimum RMB38 per cup. So, none of the boss, driver or I ordered coffee.

The food menu is very attractive, but its price is very expensive. A simple lunch set will cost RMB55 or above.

I ordered a kid's meal, that come with a ice-lemon-coke, chicken wing + potato chips, and ice cream. The main reason I choose the kid meal is because I wanted to eat ice cream very much at that moment.

The chicken wing is very yummy.

Too bad they didn't put ice cube in the Ice-lemon-coke. I don't like to drink warm soft-drink.

After we finished our meal, the time was still early. So, I half lie myself on the sofa and read a magazine provided by the restaurant, while boss and the driver went outside for smoking.

The couch is so comfy that I almost doze off when my boss came back to say it's time to leave. This is the place I would like to spend a few hours time alone or with hubby. Too bad I can't find any good place like this in HK. Most of the places are either noisy or crowded.
